Confidence In The Wilderness with Chey
I’m a mother, daughter, sister, business owner (CheyDough) and all-around strong woman. I found my confidence after my 11 1/2 year relationship abruptly ended while I was pregnant with my second child. It wasn't an easy process becoming a single mother. I doubted myself & lacked self-love. With the help of my friends & family, I pulled myself together and gained my confidence back. We all have a story & go through things in life. Don't let the negative things deter you. Instead, use it as motivation to do & be better. You are Enough!
How did you find confidence in your wilderness?
Chey: I looked at the biggest tree then at the smallest plant and realized they both stand tall next to each other. Neither is competing but they know their strength.
How were you affected by your confidence during this season/time in your life?
Chey: This past year has been a real eye-opener. I have gone through a metamorphosis. I had to find my confidence, strength and believe in myself. I know my worth now and won't let anyone take that from me.
Why was confidence important during your wilderness?
Chey: There was a point in my life when I didn't think I was good enough, pretty enough or deserving of things. Looking at the beauty of nature made me realize the natural beauty within myself.
What advice would you give your 15 yr old self based on the word confidence?
Chey: Don't accept less from anyone, believe in yourself and every time you fall down is just another chance to get up and do better. You will get your heartbroken, you will also heal. You will bounce back, realize your potential and be a stronger/better person because of it.
