Syd's Self-Esteem Secrets

1. Spend time with God daily.
It’s important to spend time with the One who created you and made you in His image. Spending time with Him constantly will help you to see how He sees you and how He truly adores you!

2. Journal daily.
Doing this allows time for yourself. It allows you to sit down and reflect and release. Being able to freely express yourself and write down your innermost thoughts is so rewarding.

Journaling has helped me to communicate better.

3. Date/Treat yourself.

As we enter the season of love, don't forget to love yourself and to love yourself. Don't be afraid to find solitude in your singleness, your singleness is not a curse.

  • Set aside an hour or two for yourself take a soothing bath with some candles lit and music playing.
  • Write yourself a love letter of all the things you love about yourself.
  • Pick back up that book and finish it.
  • Buy yourself some flowers
  • Most importantly learn to enjoy your own company.

4. Embrace change.

Some things aren't meant to remain the same. From our goals to our health to our family dynamics. Our lives are constantly changing, and with that change, it can cause some uncertainty. Don't allow that uncertainty to stop you from growing and learning. Life would be boring without change, so embrace change and the excitement that it brings into your life.

5. Be willing to heal.

Being willing to heal is a huge step to take and trust me the healing process is so worth it. You began to feel lighter as things are being uprooted and dealt with. The pruning and uprooting process will reveal so many areas of your life that you left dormant. Invite God in and allow Him to heal you and set you free. You will walk with so much confidence and victory.

6. Stop comparing yourself to those around you.

Comparison is the theft of joy. You never truly know what the next person is dealing with or struggling with to keep that

“perfect life” that you see. Learn to enjoy your portion.

7. Speak positively about yourself.
Be more aware of what comes out of your mouth. Change the way you think about yourself and the way you speak about yourself will change.
